Children & Youth

Hillside Park Baptist has implemented numerous opportunities for our youth.

 

A newly renovated and updated nursery is available during services for infants to two year olds.  Nursery volunteers are there to care for your children.

 

Every Sunday, children's church is provided during the worship service for ages three to five.  Students are dismissed from the sanctuary for this class.

Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm, we offer exciting youth classes for ages three through senior high.  The truths of the Bible are taught at age appropriate levels using KJV curriculum and resources. 

​

Once a month, we have Wonderful Wednesday.  During this time our whole group comes together for a special night beginning with a devotion.  Wonderful Wednesdays have included:  playing in a snowball tournament, enjoying a hot chocolate bar, Christmas caroling at nursing homes, enjoying a variety of food trucks and observing the FaithForce strongman group. Outreach events on Wednesdays have consisted of:  volunteering to help local organizations and elderly church members, developing a partnership with NC Baptist Children's Home and creating ministry items to pass out during the Thomasville Christmas Parade.  Many fun events and outreach ministries are scheduled to engage and encourage our youth to reach the world for Christ.

Unique excursions beyond Sundays and Wednesdays have been:  snow tubing, visiting Lazy 5 Ranch, riding on the church float/handing out Bibles during the Thomasville Christmas Parade, homeschooler lunches, and attending day church/week church camps.

​

A recently completed playground and walking trail provides a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy throughout the week.
